The Hornady® 7.62x39 111 gr. TAP SBR® was specifically 
designed to meet FBI protocol and maximize 
performance in rifles and pistols with barrel lengths from 
9" to 16" and twist rates of 1:9.45" The newly designed 
111 gr. TAP SBR® features a lead-free monolithic bullet 
with a large internal cavity and an elongated elastomer 
tip. This combination allows for expansion at velocities 
below 1200 FPS, which equates to an expansion distance 
that is 3 times longer than that of a traditional 5.56 SBR 
with a 10.5" – 12.5" barrel.

Hornady® 7.62x39mm features a 255 gr. SUB-X (Subsonic 
eXpanding) bullet with patented Flex Tip® technology, 
specifically designed to expand at subsonic velocities. 
This cartridge is loaded with a powder that is optimized 
to provide flash suppression, clean burning, yet function 
in short barrel to carbine length rifles.
